Beautiful in winter We went in early march, and the ice formations were amazing, especially the waterfall. Careful, large falling icicles would probably hurt alot should you be standing under them. Best view ever - but watch your step I have hiked the rim trail and it is challenging - but never had a better hike or a better view. It is not for kids, old, weak, or anyone scared by heights. We heard/smelled something and saw some paw prints. After talking to a Ranger, we concluded we were probably being watched by a bear for a bit. No worries - just stay on the trail! My personal favorite This is the most beautiful trail. I make a trip once a year in the fall to take in the most breath taking views of the foilage. It is a bit a a hike though so be prepared. (name not given)  18-Oct-2009

The Best Lake Ever... My family and I had such a wonderful time at Lake Hope! The lake was very clean and the water was crystal clear. It was so clear that we were able to see a group of baby catfish swimming around. My boys were able to scoop them up and feel them wiggle throught their little fingers! IT was amazing!
